Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership training and development program designed for high school students, open to all local public, private, and home-schooled students.

RYLA Hawai'i hosts an interactive overnight camp on each of the main islands, however for 2021, Rotary International's District 5000 Rotary Clubs hosted a Statewide Virtual RYLA program in February.

Coming back in 2022!

WHAT HAPPENS DURING RYLA?

Adult Alaka'i Rotary Facilitators and student Youth Facilitators will take you through a variety of experiences, including virtual interactive games, activities and guided discussions on topics of leadership that you can relate to. Students from all across Hawai'i will participate in this virtual program that promises to empower and challenge you to become proactive in your school and community.

Rotary in Hawaii

Rotary in Hawaii has approximately 1,500 member Rotarians in 53 Clubs located on five islands of Oahu, Maui, Lanai, Kauai, and Hawaii Island. We are a part of 1.2 million Rotarians across the globe, comprised of neighbors, friends, and community leaders who are creating positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world. Our diverse occupations, cultures, and experiences give us a unique perspective. Our shared passion for service helps us accomplish remarkable feats.

Through our programs for emerging leaders, we're also helping young people get the skills and experience they need to make a real difference in the lives of others. We offer both service clubs and programs to help students and young professionals strengthen their leadership skills, expand their world understanding, and make new friends.
